After Action Report – July 20th, 2025
Sunday July 20, 2025 at the San Jose History Park went very well. I want to thank everyone on the team again for making this a great event
It was a beautiful day weather wise, started to get a little warm by mid-afternoon, but we had no major incidents but had one minor medical issue. We were approached by a visitor telling us a baby fell and hit his head. Wendi, Danny and myself responded. We got to the area very quickly and the child’s mother was already applying ice on her child’s forehead. Wendi evaluated the child and determined, based on her medical background, that the child was ok. She calmed the mother down as well, who was scared. Wendi even got the child to smile. We even checked on the child and mother 20 minutes later and periodically throughout the afternoon. The child was good, and walking around with his dad!
If you ever want to see Wendi in action, sit back with a bowl of popcorn and enjoy! She is the best, and I am not just saying this because I am her husband.
Radio communications were awesome, thank you Wyman and Paolo. We had coverage throughout the park. Dan Watt brought the pop-up tent, table and chairs, we used a table banner from Cole, it worked out better. We were situated at the only entrance to the event, so we saw 100% of the foot traffic. Mark was great, interacting with all the parents and we passed out 200+ Child ID Kits. The parents we all spoke to were very receptive and appreciative of these kits.
As always, we followed all protocols and the SJ History Park personnel were very pleased with our presence and they will be asking us to return.
