Our regular Second Saturday CERT meeting features Brian Gilbert, who will be helping us review our CERT-issued gear. The emphasis will be on the fit of our equipment, including backpacks, helmet, and PPE. You will inspect your backpack contents for function and completeness. Brian will offer a list of items that every backpack should include, plus optional items for specific tasks – no one wants to carry an overloaded pack. He will discuss how you might supplement your pack. We will discuss how we secure our CERT-issued items as well as our personal items at a command post. Attendees will get a set of headlamp clips for attaching a headlamp to their helmet.
