You’ll be assigned to a team of about 20 people, receive a scenario and a safety briefing, then work together as a team to organize yourselves and respond to the scenario from beginning to end. Afterward, each team will hold its own hotwash. There won’t be training or mentoring during the exercise itself, monitors will only step in if there’s a safety concern. Evaluators will observe each team and share feedback during the hotwash.

We’re excited to host this year’s exercise at Mission College in the Business & Technology building. Once you’re registered, you’ll receive directions, parking information, and other details by email about a week beforehand.

To accommodate the expected ~125 participants, we’ll run three sessions (morning, early afternoon, and mid-afternoon), with two teams in each session. When you register, you won’t choose a specific team or start time, we’ll assign you and let you know when your team’s briefing begins. Please block the entire day on your calendar; each session lasts about three hours.
